Day Care
A secure start for children from 18 months to 3 years
Hampton Day Care provides English-medium early education and care in Quatre-Bornes for boys and girls who are ready to begin learning away from home.
Our Day Care follows a structured curriculum informed by the UK Early Years Foundation Stage. From the first day, children are immersed in English through stories, songs, conversation, and guided play. The focus is on secure attachment, gentle routines, and the prime areas of early development: communication, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional growth.
Each child is assigned a key person — a named staff member who knows their routines, monitors their progress, and provides daily written feedback to parents. Parents can meet with their key person at any time. By the time children move up to Pre-Primary, they are comfortable in English, confident in a group, and ready for the next stage.
Programme
A structured curriculum built around the prime areas of early learning
Hampton Day Care teaches children through a balanced programme that builds early communication, physical coordination, social confidence, and a foundation in English.
Learning Journey
From first separation to Pre-Primary readiness
Each stage of Day Care has a clear purpose. Children move from settling in and exploring their environment to structured early learning and a confident transition to Pre-Primary.
Settling In & Exploration
18 months – 2 years
Children learn to separate from parents, trust their key person, and explore their environment through sensory play, music, and gentle routines. The focus is on first words in English, confident walking, and feeling safe in a group.
Active Learning & Communication
2 – 2.5 years
Children develop stronger speaking and listening, early mark-making, and the ability to follow simple routines. They begin playing alongside others, sharing toys, and responding to instructions in English. Toilet training is supported when the child is ready.
Pre-Primary Ready
2.5 – 3 years
Children consolidate early English vocabulary, develop pencil grip and pre-writing skills, and build the independence and concentration needed for a structured Pre-Primary classroom. They transition to Hampton Pre-Primary confident and prepared.
Teaching & Care
Daily reports, individual care, and a safe, secure environment
Hampton Day Care is built around a caring team, a key person for every child, individual care routines, and constant communication with parents.
Daily Care & Development
Observation, safety, and steady progress every day
Hampton Day Care pupils are observed, supported, and kept safe so they are fully prepared to enter Pre-Primary with confidence.
Admissions
We invite parents to visit and see the environment for themselves
Choosing day care is a decision about your child's first experience away from home. It deserves proper attention.
For this reason, Hampton encourages parents to book a visit, meet the day care team, observe the facilities, and ask questions about routines, safety, meals, naps, and the daily structure.
During your visit, our team can explain the admissions process, available places, what to expect in the first weeks, documents required, and the current fee structure.
This gives parents a proper understanding of the day care centre before making a decision about their child's first step into education.
